Art Project 'Re-'
I firmly believe that any object, regardless of its age or perceived flaws, can be reborn into a new and vibrant form. 'Re-' is a series of art exhibitions that explore the transformative power of upcycling, fibre, and found object art. The title, βRe-β, signifies renewal, reimagining, and the continuous cycle of transformation β a central theme in this body of work.
My journey began in 2020 with a collection of quirky and functional upcycled lamps merged with tree branches. However, this project has since evolved beyond just lamps. I now explore the uncharted territories of various discarded objects, primarily sourced from op shops. The aim remains unchanged: to breathe new life into neglected items and infuse them with creativity, playfulness, and a touch of whimsy.
